The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide. We are seeking a Global Supply Manager who is passionate and driven to help us achieve this mission. The Global Supply Manager on the CSCP Supply Operations team will be responsible for managing all operations for our global VMI hub.
ResponsibilitiesEnsuring a reliable supply of raw materials for our system integration partners. Managing materials at our 3PL stocking locations.Driving aggressive inventory turns while maintaining supply targets.Budget management for hub operations. This role will contribute to defining key processes and systems requirements, managing day-to-day interactions with suppliers, providing forecasts, and capturing supply capability information. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Work with internal teams to drive 3PL and system integrator alignment to supply parts to meet production targets.Manage metrics including days of supply, E&O, shortages within lead time, appropriate space availability and inventory exposure at each supplier to improve performance.Manage operational issues between T2 supplier and hub providerCreate & report metrics for hub operationsIdentify areas for process improvement to reduce Cycle TimeSupport onboarding new suppliers to HubWork with Supply Chain and Capacity Planning teams on the timing and availability of product transitions to plan for platform end of life (minimizing E&O inventory) and ramp of new platforms. |
