Job Description: Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Front Desk Coordinator for the Human Resources office located at our Daytona Beach campus and supporting employees all through the U.S. and internationally. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to serve as the main point of contact for our dynamic, fast-paced Human Resources department. In this vital role, you will provide essential administrative support to our HR staff and directors while becoming a trusted resource for employees at all levels. Your knowledge of HR policies and procedures will enable you to assist staff effectively and address inquiries with confidence. You'll also have the chance to conduct research and analysis on a variety of HR topics, offering valuable recommendations to our management team.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Greet and assist faculty, staff, senior leaders and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Answer phone calls, manage inquiries, and redirect calls as necessary.
  • Efficiently manage email including multiple generic accounts, providing timely, professional responses to all inquiries.
  • Assist with HR event planning and coordination.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the department and the university as a whole; this may include attending meetings, taking notes, performing follow-up, keeping projects on track, committee work, etc.
  • Maintain an organized reception and kitchen area and ensure it is presentable at all times.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Approve and audit community service and jury duty requests.
  • Provide employee records upon request for verifications of employment and wages.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related administrative experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
