DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Pennsylvania Game Commission Dispatcher, you will perform public service dispatching work which involves receiving, dispatching, and coordinating information and processes in the PGC Centralized Dispatch Center. A high degree of organization is exercised in order to manage multiple phone lines, provide information, prioritize incoming messages, and relay pertinent messages to to the appropriate parties. This position also performs a variety of general support duties related to communication activities, including record keeping, typing, and filing. Interested in learning more? - Limited-term, full-time employment
- Flexible Work Schedule: Shifts vary working 4, 10-hour work days in a 7-day (40-hour) workweek.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of dispatch operations experience, two-way radio operation experience, or complex clerical experience.
- Possession of a valid Public Safety Telecommunicator certificate issued by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania hunting license may be substituted for three months of the required experience.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a clear, firm voice and no major speech, hearing, or visual impairments that would interfere with understanding verbal communication, being understood, or using electronic communications equipment and visual display equipment.
Post Employment Requirement:
- You must be able to obtain CLEAN and JNET certification within the probationary period and maintain these certifications for the duration of employment in this job.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
