Maintenance Mechanic

We are a fully integrated provider of packaging solutions with advanced engineering capabilities. We aim to lead in anticipating and solving our clients' packaging and manufacturing needs. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a Second Shift opportunity. This mid-level position requires the ability to effectively monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain all production and support equipment, including presses, cartoning machines, tubing machines, pouching, stick machines, wrappers, labelers, and associated accessories. The ideal candidate should be capable of training others and advocating for standard work processes, as well as personally striving to improve these processes.

Responsibilities:

*Maintain equipment to ensure First Pass Quality standards.

*Respond promptly to downtime events and conduct routine Line Doctor Rounds.

*Comply fully with established maintenance processes.

*Set up the next shift for success through communication logs and face-to-face handoff.

*Lead by example to promote a productive and positive work environment.

*Execute daily maintenance work plans and assist in training Technicians and Line Operators as needed.

*Ensure 100% compliance with company processes, including regulatory practices, preventive maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis.

*Maintain cleanliness and organization standards in shop and work areas.

*Complete assigned PMs and corrective work orders.

*Utilize maintenance planning tools such as Asset Essentials for parts lookup and requests.

*Drive problem-solving efforts with RCA tools, data accuracy, and a sense of urgency.

*Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain safe work practices.

*Support a friendly and positive work environment and collaborate effectively across shifts.

*Provide input on department updates and assist with other duties as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

*Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

*Follow safety protocols, correct or report hazards, and support safety policies.

Qualifications:

*High school diploma or equivalent required.

*Two years of technical school and 3-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.

*At least 3 years of experience in a Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment, preferably in dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing.

Skills Required:

*Proficient in Microsoft Suite and effective communication skills.

*Advanced time-management skills and the ability to work independently.

*Ability to read and interpret machine drawings and electrical schematics.

*Strong troubleshooting skills with high-speed equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic processes.

*Experience with outside vendors to enhance processes and drive improvements.

*Capable of leading projects to completion and fabricating/modifying parts.

*Experience with welding, milling, lathe work, and PLC systems.

*Team-oriented and able to show respect for co-workers.

Equipment and Tools Used:

*Pallet jack, forklift, multimeter, hand and power tools, computer, and iPad.

Physical Requirements:

*Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the building, with frequent reaching and routine tasks with hands and arms.

*Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.

*Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

*Exposure to moving machinery, hot surfaces, hot air, and occasional electrical hazards.
