Job Overview:

We Are hiring! Ingersoll Rand seeks a talented Quality Technician for its Ingersoll Rand Pump (IRP), MP Pump and Oberdorfer Pump (MPOB) Business Unit. Quality Tech demonstrates a deep knowledge of TBS (Ingersoll Rand Business System) with a strong bias to lead continuous improvement with supplier quality. In addition, this candidate leads the activities for supplier certification process (such as ISO) and maintains gauging calibration program for manufacturing
operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Leads supplier improvement from supplier provided product problems through improvement of supplier processes linked to TBS tools.

  • Embrace Ingersoll Rand Business Systems (TBS) and Conscious Company tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements.

  • SWI for quality testing and employ 5 Why's when a material is found to be faulty

  • Utilize ISO SCAR's and PAR's with suppliers to have quality materials delivered to Ingersoll Rand

  • Utilize Red Dots for opportunity when evaluating finished goods

  • Coordinate and administer Quality Certification Programs.

  • Coordinate internal audit process to ensure ISO quality certification is sustained.

  • Coordinate third party, customer audits, and specific project quality requirements.

  • Maintain and execute internal gauge calibration program.

  • Drives supplier continuous improvement through Cause and Corrective Actions on Supplier Corrective Action Report.

  • Maintain and communicate report card to suppliers.

  • Support inspection and recording for product development projects.

  • Train others in problem solving.

  • Model the behavior of a Conscious Leader by applying the learning from the Radical Leadership Retreats and living the values each day.

  • Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned.

  • Lead CI activities to improve the efficiency of the metrology lab.

  • Monitor quality performance for supplier's inbound material

  • Monitor quality performance for finished goods for customer deliveries

  • Monitor costs and impact of inferior quality from suppliers, write SCAR's and monitor for improvement




Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing
    / quality environment as well as with the ISO certification process and procedures.




Core Competencies:


  • Good working knowledge of all Standard Inspection Equipment Required.

  • Experience with fabrication inspection and weld inspection preferred.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products ( ie Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint ).

  • Experience with Faro portable CMM equipment a plus.

  • Knowledge of NDE inspection methods ( VT, PT, MT, UT, X Ray ) a plus.




Preferences:


  • Basic understanding of assembly methods.

  • Must be comfortable utilizing conventional measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes and other types of inspection devices.

  • Basic understanding of blueprints and other documents that define product specification.

  • General knowledge of ISO procedures. Basic understanding of root cause analysis (5W1H, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).

  • Possess basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.




Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $44,000 - $92,200. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.

Job Overview:




We are currently seeking an organized and collaborative individual to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting quotes and order management of configured and engineered product orders for our mission-critical pump technologies in a manufacturing
facility. An Application Engineer works with a team to ensure the efficient and accurate pre-sale and post-sale support activities for industrial products serving the water treatment, oil/gas, and/or petrochemical industries while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, communicative, adaptable and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.




Responsibilities:




Application Engineering



  • Respond to customer inquiries for pump technology product selection, pricing and application support for standard, configured and engineered- to-order products

  • Prepare and submit quotations and technical bid documents utilizing a variety of product selection tools, internal ERP system and technical resources

  • Review RFQ's, specifications and provide application engineering expertise in special applications (i.e. conceptual design of special configurations, evaluation of existing designs, basic modification of existing designs, etc.)

  • Provide technical and commercial support to Regional Sales Managers, channel partners, and end users

  • Provide

    project management


    for orders requiring special designs, documentation, testing and inspection from order receipt through customer acceptance




Customer Support



  • Coordinate with internal departments and outside suppliers for quoting and

    project management


    purposes

  • Represent the company in customer meetings and coordinate commercial and technical negotiations as needed

  • Assist with aftermarket application support, spare parts selection and troubleshooting




Training and Development



  • Participate in training programs to improve engineering skills and product knowledge

  • Attend monthly EHS trainings

  • Follow all policies and procedures (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks




Quality Control



  • Provide technical support for evaluation of customer warranty issues

  • Participate in engineering and quality discussions
