The Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management at the College of Charleston seeks qualified applicants for the position of
Visiting Instructor. The effective start date is August 16, 2025. Visiting positions at the College of Charleston are appointed on an annual basis. However, it is our intention, pending available funding and based on performance, that this position be renewable for one additional year.
Responsibilities:
The position will involve teaching four courses per semester in the Hospitality & Tourism Management Department. The exact courses taught will be determined in part based upon the individual's background and areas of expertise. In addition, the position will entail service activities.
Qualifications:
* A Master's degree in a related field is required.
* A Ph.D. in a related field is preferred.
* Substantial industry experience is preferred.
* Undergraduate-level teaching experience is preferred.
* Preference will be given to candidates who have a proven record of teaching excellence, substantial industry experience, and who are enthusiastic team players.
