Facilities Manager - Elwood, IL or Galesburg, IL
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operations in our Elwood, IL or Galesburg, IL locations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional capable of managing multiple facilities, implementing cost-effective solutions, and fostering strong relationships with clients and team members. Key Responsibilities: Relationship Management: Support the Area Manager in implementing short and long-term projects Collaborate with the Facility Management Lead and clients to develop innovative programs and procedures Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for clients Manage capital and expense budgets in coordination with client representatives Program Analysis and Development: Implement cost-reducing and productivity-enhancing initiatives Develop and manage variance reporting for operating budgets Assist in creating and implementing annual management plans for area buildings Supervisory Duties: Matrix manage technical and administrative staff Oversee multiple facilities with diverse functions Supervise vendor performance during normal and off-hours, including weekends when necessary Financial Management: Develop and oversee capital and expense budgets Produce timely variance reports for all operating budgets Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or equivalent work experience with management/technical emphasis Minimum 8 years of industry experience in corporate environments, third-party service providers, or as a consultant Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Proficiency in MS Office, MS SharePoint, and CMMS systems Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting, and building systems Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations Location: This position can be based in either Elwood, IL or Galesburg, IL, with responsibility for overseeing facilities in the Chicago South area or Galesburg area (IL/IA). | |
