The Program Director of Leadership Development is a strategic leader responsible for crafting and executing initiatives that cultivate leadership capabilities across all levels of the organization. Working closely with executives and key stakeholders, the Program Director of Leadership Development will design programs that align with business goals and promote a robust leadership pipeline. Responsibilities Leadership Development Strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive leadership development framework that aligns with organizational goals and values. Assess the current and future leadership needs of the organization and create strategies to address gaps. Partner with leaders, Human Resources, and L&D to ensure alignment between leadership development efforts and business objectives.
Program Design and Delivery
Design and oversee leadership development programs, including the Apogee Leadership Program, the Apogee Senior Leadership Program, executive coaching, mentorship initiatives, high-potential programs, and other leadership development programs. Incorporate innovative approaches such as experiential learning, executive roundtables, e-learning, and immersive simulations. Leverage technology to enhance program delivery, such as virtual learning platforms and mobile tools.
Talent Assessment and Development
Develop and implement tools to assess leadership potential and readiness, such as 360-degree feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Facilitate mentorship programs that pair emerging leaders with experienced executives.
Talent Partner
Work collaboratively with HR, L&D, talent acquisition, and learning and development teams to integrate leadership development into broader talent strategies. Build partnerships with external experts, universities, and consultants to enhance program offerings.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of leadership development programs. Monitor trends and best practices in leadership development and apply insights to refine initiatives. Provide regular reports to executive leadership on program outcomes and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills Experience
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 10+ years of experience in leadership development, organizational development, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record in designing and delivering leadership development programs for senior and mid-level leaders.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of leadership competencies, organizational psychology, and adult learning principles. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presence skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable leadership development strategies. Strong understanding of evolving learning technologies. Strong project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Professional Certification (ICF, SHRM-SP, CPTD, etc.) Tool Certifications (Hogan, Leadership Architect, MBTI, etc.)
