Description

The MaintenanceLead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous operations in reliability and efficiency for both manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role provides leadership and guidance to a team of maintenance technicians of all levels, overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations. Additionally, the Maintenance Lead implements and administers preventative maintenance programs as well as critical spare parts inventory management.

This full-time position reports directly to the Manager Maintenance and is located at our Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, to include providing guidance, training, and support for all maintenance activities performed in adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of machinery and facilities to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, coordinating repairs and collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to safety and environmental standards.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance history, and equipment performance data.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safety.
  • Train and mentor maintenance team members on best practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a key driver of cross functional communication regarding all maintenance activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience as a maintenance tech/mechanic in manufacturing environment with a clear track record of leadership.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance professionals.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2+ year technical degree in Maintenance related field
  • Experience within the corrugated industry
  • Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs - Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay rate for this position is $34.00 per hour plus hourly shift differential pay. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
