Description
POSITION: Clinical Utilization Specialist DEPARTMENT: KS Foster Care (Kansas City, KS) Starting Salary: $43,888 - $46,000 (Annually) (Starting salary depends on education and experience) RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizing evidenced based assessments, the clinical utilization team will ensure youth and families receive the right services and supports, in the right amount, at the right time, and for the right duration in order to support safety, well-being and permanency. Utilizing a referral process, the team will ensure timely service initiation, improved data collection and collaboration across service providers. The team will track youth and families served by service type, length of services - including acute, QRTP and PRTF admissions, monitor referrals from date of referral to provision of services and make requests for provider reports for client record. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a bachelors degree in social work or other human service-related field (community counseling, human development, child and family development, applied family and youth studies, public health, health sciences, trauma studies, sociology/social services, substance abuse/addictions, education/early childhood, or psychology criminal justice, human services, education, counseling or psychology) and at least two years of work experience in the child welfare arena. Preferred: masters degree in social work or other human service-related field and at least two years' experience in the child welfare area. Case management experience preferred. Licensed by the Kansas BSRB. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
