Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Solution Architect is responsible for solutioning, designing and bridging the business and technology to fulfil the business needs. Solution Architect supports Care and Utilization Management System implementation of new business capabilities and migration of new technology enhancing business processes and communicates expert understanding to internal and external stakeholders. This role is a member of the Design Engineering Excellence Team and reports directly to the Director of Design Engineering Excellence Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates high-level architectural and design specifications, with attention to business processes, systems functions and feasibility analysis.
  • Works with customers on presenting business and functional solutions for complex business requirements.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and/or healthcare with expertise in Program Integrity, Care and Utilization management.
  • Leading client demos and presentations.
  • Evaluate and transform requirements to system functional requirements and technical solution.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate Business requirements into implementable components.
  • Determine optimized Solution by conducting Decision Analysis and Resolution on possible solutions.
  • Develop Prototype, Proof of Concept, wireframe models to demonstrate Solutions as applicable.
  • Identifies areas for process improvement to improve quality and optimize cost.
  • Proficient in workflow diagrams, process mapping, and gap analysis to determine existing (AS-IS) and proposed (To-BE) process changes.
  • Works closely with project teams to review and analyze requirements, identifying gaps using Fit-to-Product(F2P) tools.
  • Provides industry insights, market trends, and best practices to influence continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with senior management.
  • Keeps abreast of new business policies, technology and market developments (including federal regulations) and suggests adoption of new technologies and tools to improve quality of business solutioning and related deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of business solutioning OR Masters' Degree with 5+ years of business solutioning experience in healthcare domain.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (such as waterfall, hybrid agile, agile/scrum framework) with ability to partner with business units and other technology departments in implementation of major initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to balance multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid experience in providing business and technical solution guidance related to multiple subject matter areas in Care and Utilization management systems.
  • Strong understanding of health care business, technology, architecture tools, and applications.
  • Excellent customer relation skills including presentation and meeting facilitation.
  • Experience in leading JAD design sessions and client demonstration of complex business requirements.
