Position INTERN - Communications, Outreach, and Research Division Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council Description The Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council (NSHC) is seeking a paid temporary part-time intern to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Communications, Health Outreach, and Research, this position provides communications activities in support of the Long Island Health Collaborative (LIHC), the Suburban Hospital Alliance of New York State (SHANYS), and SHANYS' regional organizations: the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council (NSHC, Long Island region) and the Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association (NorMet, Hudson Valley region). This position is hybrid, with some time working remotely and some time working in the NSHC office, located at 800 Veterans Memorial Highway, Suite 150 in Hauppauge, NY. Remote and in-person work schedule to be determined based on intern's availability. Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program pertaining to communications, public relations, health communications, or another relevant area of study. Primary Role Assists Manager of Communications, Health Outreach, and Research with communications activities primarily in support of New York Coalition for Transportation Safety (NYCTS) grant deliverables. Also assists with communications activities in support of the Long Island Health Collaborative (LIHC), the Suburban Hospital Alliance of New York State (SHANYS), Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council (NSHC), and Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association (NorMet) as needed.
