Description

Role Summary:

The Data Processing Specialist will provide daily administrative support to the National Science Foundation to facilitate the peer review process. The employee will work closely with their teammates and the NSF Program Directors to input critical data into NSF systems and databases to assign proposals to ad hoc reviewers and panels, to disseminate passwords and travel orders to confirmed panelists and to process proposals electronically in support of the overall NSF peer review process. In addition, the Data Processing Specialist provides other administrative services upon request, including supporting small and medium sized meetings, tracking tasks and deliverables in SharePoint, and corresponding with external stakeholders via telephone and email. Work environment is currently remote with occasional onsite meeting support.

What will you be engaged in day-to-day?

  • Performing extensive data entry into NSF systems to support the peer review process, and management of affiliated paperwork
  • Communicating via telephone and email with reviewers and NSF program staff
  • Tracking all duties and deliverables in SharePoint
  • Collaborating with teammates and other stakeholders to ensure currency and accuracy of all data entry
  • Conducting administrative compliance screening on incoming proposals
  • Setting up and cleaning up conference rooms for onsite meetings
  • Supporting virtual meetings held via Zoom
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements

What qualifications will help you succeed?

  • High school diploma or GED required. Some advanced education or bachelor's degree highly preferred
  • Two-three years data entry experience in office environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access and Outlook email and calendar functions
  • Experience with SharePoint is preferred; willingness to learn and adapt to SharePoint systems is essential
  • Detail-oriented, problem-solver, professional, and courteous demeanor.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team or independently as needed with little direction or supervision
  • Willingness to work as part of a close-knit and diverse team is essential
  • Outgoing and positive attitude about helping others is a must

At IQ Solutions, our total compensation package is inclusive of comprehensive benefits for full-time staff which include healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education, and paid time off. The estimated pay range for this position is: $40,000 in our lowest geographic market to $45,000 in our highest geographic market, annually. Elements of our total compensation package are also based on an employee's performance in their role as well as the company meeting its annual organizational goals.
