Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) is seeking an exceptional entry-level corrosion-focused materials engineering associate to join our Materials Engineering group at the Janney Technical Center (JTC) in Northbrook, Illinois. Our JTC's Materials Engineering Group works at the intersection of materials and structural engineering - solving challenging materials engineering problems that impact the performance of structures. TheCorrosion-Focused Materials Engineering Associate will contribute to projects related to the assessment, prediction, and mitigation of corrosion and other deterioration mechanisms affecting the durability and performance of reinforced concrete and steel structures. You will spend almost as much time in the field and laboratory, up close and personal with our projects, as you will in the office. This role will require periodic travel as well as the willingness to work overtime during peak periods. As you grow into this position, you will assume primary responsibility for key aspects of projects and complete assignments with limited oversight Responsibilities:

Additionally, employees receive variable compensation based on personal and company performance, often resulting in above-market annual earnings.
