Crissair is looking for an an experienced Quality Inspector with knowledge of advanced inspection equipment to join our Quality team!

Summary Develops, evaluates, and improves inspection process using knowledge of equipment capabilities, product design and quality control standards. Works in a team environment with machinists, inspectors and managers, plans and coordinates the inspection process to reduce cost and lead-time by establishing inspection programs that will decrease inspection-time while providing accurate measurement results as feedback during the Frist Article, In-process AQL inspections, and support of Lean Manufacturing Cells. When not programming the Inspection equipment, this position will require other miscellaneous Quality Control/Assurance activities, such as supporting shop, receiving, and final inspection. Updating master routers ensuring the correct inspection programs are referenced for the intended manufacturing operations, and training of shop personnel on operations for the different types of automated Inspection equipment as needed. Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other tasks and duties may be required as directed. * Conceive and develop valid inspection processes for complex parts using Optical Inspection equipment and software provided by equipment manufacturer. * Assist in CMM operations and inspections * Work with level II and III programmers to develop CMM programming skills * Establish Optical Equipment Program Controls, tooling control, file security, etc. * Provide assistance to inspectors using the Optical Inspection equipment. * Inspect products using Optical Inspection equipment and the ability to effectively inspect product using basic inspection tools, which may include, but not limited to, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, etc. * Ability to understand and conform to internal company procedures. * Conduct training sessions as needed to ensure relevant personnel have current knowledge on the operations of the Optical Inspection equipment. * Manage TCRs to ensure current program info is present on master routers * Support Quality Management with miscellaneous activities. * Support Shop, Receiving, and Final Inspection with AS9102 Reports and/or complex inspections * Provide customer support when necessary. * Seek lean process improvements. Qualification Requirements Education/Experience * Two years minimum related experience. * Proficient with GD&T requirements and ability to calculate True Position, Profile of Surface and Profile of Line based on inspection results. Language Skills * Good command of the English language, both written and spoken. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public. Math Skills * Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. * Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Skills * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
