Join us as a Proposal/Technical Writer in Ogden, UT as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.

Location Type: This is a hybrid role requiring two to three days onsite located at our office in Ogden, UT.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Collaborate with the Applications Engineering (AE) Team to develop comprehensive proposals.

  • Review customer-specific Statements of Work (SOW) to create a Project Compliance Matrix (PCM).

  • Write detailed descriptions, develop tables, and compile engineering concept images for proposals.

  • Create custom graphics for presentations and customer materials using Microsoft Office and similar tools.

  • Work with various functional teams to enhance proposals and ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  • Review proposal content for accuracy and adherence to JR style guide preferences.

  • Collaborate with technical writers from other divisions to develop multi-divisional proposals.

  • Assist in training new AEs and AE summer interns.

  • Help update customer relationship management software (Salesforce) and other relevant programs.

  • Prepare and assist with audit information for the AE department.

  • Take notes during customer meetings, staff meetings, executive reviews, and other key discussions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • 0-2 years experience in technical communication or a related field/degree.

  • Strong technical writing and editing skills.

  • Proficient understanding of structured writing, style guides, and templates.

  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities are required.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable in Adobe Suite programs (e.g., Adobe Acrobat).

  • Ability to quickly learn new software, such as Salesforce.

  • Capable of working effectively both within a team and independently.
