Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment within a plant setting, including monitoring process variables, collecting samples, performing basic analysis, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring the plant operates within quality and safety standards, often working closely with production teams to optimize processes and maintain product quality. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Oversee laboratory instruments and other specialized equipment relevant to the plant's production process, monitoring readings and adjusting parameters as needed. -Ensure adherence to quality standards by performing routine quality checks, identifying deviations from specifications, and initiating corrective actions when necessary. -Troubleshooting and maintenance: Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments, and coordinate with technicians for complex repairs. -Perform regular calibrations and standardizations of laboratory equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability of results. -Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials, and report any safety concerns.
