This is a nine-month (academic year) position, located on the main Logan campus, with an estimated start date of August 2025. Applicants should have a PhD in chemistry or a closely related field with a graduate or post-doctoral background in experimental inorganic chemistry, or a related field. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in inorganic chemistry at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an innovative, externally funded research program with a national reputation for excellence and demonstrate high quality teaching and student mentorship. Applicants whose proposed research area and experience complements, but does not duplicate, existing research programs in the Department are particularly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities This is a full-time, nine-month (academic year) appointment with a 50%:40%:10% role statement describing responsibilities in research, teaching, and service, respectively. To advance in the ranks, the successful candidate will be expected; (i) to develop an innovative, externally funded research program that achieves a strong national reputation for excellence in the field; (ii) to participate effectively in undergraduate and graduate teaching (including in inorganic chemistry) and in mentorship; (iii) to engage effectively in service, for example through participation on graduate student supervisory committees and Departmental/College/University committees.
