Job Description:Visits patients for food preference and menu selection. Corrects all patient menus for accuracy. Checks trayline and coordinates patient service activities (i.e. nourishments, tray assessments, floor stock, tally, etc.). Provides diet explanation handouts on ordered diets. Participates in PI for trayline and menu accuracy. Works with cooks regarding forecast and production sheet accuracy. Provides resources for FSA and cooks questions on modified diets. Communicates with dietitians regarding special needs of patients. Covers shifts for employees calling in sick when a supervisor not present. Assures patient safety, privacy and confidentiality as required per HIPPA. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Preferred Experience: 2 years Food Services - Direct Patient Care Preferred 2 years Food Services - Modified Diets knowledge Preferred Skills: Ability to work effectively with patients, families, dietitians, diet office staff, nurses and all patient food service employees. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills required. Work Shift:08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $31.00 - $38.08 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
