Systems Engineer, Craftsman (Cyber Integration)

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Systems Engineer, Craftsman (Cyber Integration) to work out of Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.

PAY: $144,000 - $158,500

JOB SUMMARY:

USfalcon seeks a Systems Engineer to support the 392d Combat Training Squadron's (392 CTS) efforts to design, plan, and implement technical solutions to design and integrate a cyber enclave to support USSF exercises. The Systems Engineer position requires a mix of project management, technical, acquisition, and requirements development skills. This position requires knowledge of current and in-development cyber ranges, cyber transport capabilities (e.g., the Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR)), and the ability to work effectively with on-site IT personnel to ensure the smooth integration of the cyber enclave into 392 CTS operations. This position is at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, and requires on-site support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Design, plan, and implement solutions to allow cyber personnel to participate in USSF exercises using cyber ranges (local or distributed) across multiple security levels.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to gather, document, and manage technical and functional requirements from various stakeholders to integrate cyber capabilities into USSF exercises.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate potential risks associated with integrating cyber capabilities into current and future 392 CTS M&S operations to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
• Define project milestones and deliverables and effectively manage timelines and allocated resources to ensure cyber exercise capabilities are integrated into USSF exercises.
• Coordinate comprehensive testing and validation of integrated cyber systems and capabilities to ensure integration activities align with government regulations, security protocols, and industry best practices.
• Maintain detailed records of cyber integration processes, updates, challenges, and resolutions for internal tracking and required reporting.
• Attend technical interchange meetings (TIM), in-progress reviews, and programmatic-level meetings related to 392 CTS-sponsored USSF exercises and mission-focused events.
• Develop schedules, plans, and briefings; coordinate and monitor activities; and report on those activities through trip reports, briefings, meeting minutes, point papers, quad charts, etc.
• Attend weekly organizational meetings, as necessary, to maintain awareness of the 392 CTS leadership priorities, tasks, and issues.
• Carry out tasks as directed by contract leadership required to ensure 392 CTS mission success.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years working in or for DoD organizations.
• Experience working in DoD or National space or cyber organizations.
• Experience within the DoD applying project management processes to create and manage project plans, resulting in timely delivery of project milestones across interrelated efforts.
• Experience using risk management concepts and strategies to ensure project success.
• Experience gathering and analyzing technical data to assist with manpower resource allocation.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining secure network infrastructures, particularly in military or Government environments.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards (e.g., Rick Management Framework (RMF)) and applying those standards in operational environments.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience managing DoD cyber projects from initial design to completion.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), certification, or a Certificate of Project Management from an accredited institution.
• Experience working with cyber ranges, including integrating tools and managing simulation environments for training or testing purposes.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI

TRAVEL: This position requires limited travel (5-6 weeks/year).
