Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Feed Mill Operator opportunity in our Holyoke office. The Feed Mill Operator will plan, build, assist, and coordinate animal movement schedules for animal operations teams. Dispatching includes market haul trucks, drivers, and loadout crew members in order to move animals efficiently to plant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Learn the material process flow of entire feed mill to include receiving, grinding, batching, pelleting, and loadout.
  • Cross-train in all areas of production/maintenance at the feed mill and be proficient in all areas of plant automation.
  • Manage and plan production needs for each area of operation.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all areas of the feed mill and the grounds adjacent the plant.
  • Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with all Current Good Manufacturing Practices' (cGMP) and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) protocols.
  • Process necessary paperwork and learn to account for items using computer skills as needed and follow procedures established to insure proper material flow.
  • Understand and follow safety rules consistent with standard operating procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • High School or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Analytically minded and willing to learn new computer systems.
  • Add skills and/or Core Competencies.



SCHEDULE The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.

COMPENSATION We offer a competitive pay rate based on your skills and experience related to this position. Our starting compensation for this position in Holyoke, CO is $17/Hr.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
