Your responsibilities
Job Summary Provide leadership and direction to insure the continual, efficient, and uniform operation of warehouse which will meet or exceed customer expectations in a safe and orderly manner. Enforce existing or develop and implement new plans coordinated with branch and corporate management to increase the reliability and continually improve the quality and efficiencies of the products and services provided by the business, while ensuring that policies, procedures, and standards are in conformance with company goals. Job Description

Shift: Sunday - Thursday 6:30pm - 6:30am

Key Accountabilities:

  • Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members. Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished
  • Responsible for conducting performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
  • Responsible for coordinating, assigning, and reviewing work.
  • Responsible for effective record keeping, filing and other administrative duties asrequired.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all team members receive required instruction in safetyprocedures, proper use of equipment, performance standards, disciplinary processes andother workplace and Company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers. Responsible for effective record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.
  • Meet all production and distribution objectives and deadlines within the establishedbudget.
  • Communicate and monitor progress towards company safety, returns and allowances, and on time shipment and 6S/Lean directives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases to enhance quality, capabilities and productivity.
  • Manage maintenance of equipment to provide maximum availability and minimum down time.
  • Work with the Department Leader to establish goals, assess competency and direct operational output.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and discipline warehouse employees if requested or as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic math and reading skills obtained by a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have basic computer skills
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehousepersonnel
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experienceand successful past performance
  • Quality and Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring
  • Must also demonstrate successful leadership and team building skills - even if from an
    unrelated business or non-business organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years previous supervisory experience in a related field (bonus if in quality inspection and rework)
  • Possess the knowledge of metals handled in regard to proper staging, processing,packaging, and shipping. Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices and salefunctions

65,000-75,000
