Associate Director, Incentive Compensation

Harmony Biosciences is recruiting for an Associate Director, Incentive Compensation in our Plymouth Meeting, PA location. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders in the development and administration of incentive compensation plans and sales contests within the rare orphan disease space. Success in this role depends on a deep understanding of product commercialization and how to connect operations to revenue-generating activities. It also entails developing a thorough understanding of the sales process and patient journey.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the timely delivery of all quarterly and semi-annual incentive compensation payout amounts to payroll for processing
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the commercial organization to react and take proactive action to market dynamics
  • Manage our inventory of compensation plan templates to streamline the distribution and signing process for all participants
  • Work closely with finance to deliver monthly accruals and quarterly close payouts and documentation to satisfy SOX compliance requirements
  • Conduct quarterly presentations detailing IC payouts to the commercial leadership team designed to foster discussion that effectively drive team understanding of key events and facilitates decision-making across the stakeholders
  • Maintain data accuracy within HARP, our incentive compensation BI dashboards.
  • Develop best practices within incentive compensation to assist in driving commercial excellence and execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MS/MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry designing and managing incentive compensation required
  • Strong knowledge of incentive compensation principles, practices and trends; ability to apply them to aligned brand strategy and sales force dynamics
  • Extensive understanding of pharmaceutical field sales activities, roles and behaviors; Thorough knowledge of the rare disease patient journey, including market access, specialty pharmacy and closed distribution networks, as well as HUB services
  • Understanding of Compliance, Legal, Medical and Regulatory drivers and guidance
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint required

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Domestic travel is estimated to be 20% of the time for this position.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision.
  • Manual dexterity required to use computers, tablets, and cell phone.
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.
