  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

  • The Quality Coordinator RN focuses on improving the patient experience, reducing hospital readmissions, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • The role involves monthly data abstraction for assigned accreditation programs, submitting data to national databases, managing the hospital's readmission platform, and rounding on high-risk readmission patients before discharge.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • RN in the state of Texas.

  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

  • Previous experience in quality management, patient safety, or regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting.

  • Experience with quality improvement projects in a hospital or healthcare setting.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and data management systems.

  • Familiarity with data abstraction for accreditation programs and national databases.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., JCAHO, CMS).
