Global Systems Engineering (GSE)is a HUBZone small business that supports the federal government with a variety of high-end technical and engineering services. GSE is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Team Lead to join the Cybersecurity Assurance team. This leadership role involves overseeing cybersecurity initiatives, conducting audits, and managing vulnerability assessments to ensure the integrity of critical systems. The Cybersecurity Team Lead will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategic security measures, engaging with multidisciplinary teams to protect operational technology and installation control systems. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including energy professionals assessing system efficiency and resilience, to develop cohesive solutions that align with mission objectives. The Cybersecurity Team Lead will also work directly with U.S. Army installations, requiring extended travel to CONUS locations.

To be qualified, the candidate MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret Clearance with the ability to receive a Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee cybersecurity assessments and team deliverables, ensuring outputs align with the organization's goals and priorities.


  • Manage incident response, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies, to address and resolve cybersecurity threats.


  • Collaborate with ICS/SCADA experts to identify and mitigate critical risks within operational technology systems.


  • Develop and implement training programs to foster self-sustaining security practices and behaviors across teams.


  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST standards.


  • Identify new security challenges and opportunities, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place.


  • Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity governance and oversight policies.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


  • CISSP or equivalent certification.


  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity management, including leadership roles.


  • Proven experience working within DoD or government cybersecurity frameworks.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and DoD-specific cybersecurity standards.


  • Experience in training and mentoring cybersecurity teams.


  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
