Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Journeyman Program Management Analyst to support the Systems Engineering Department (SED) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The program is providing systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.

The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to:

  • Performs critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success.
  • Provides program analysis support for all aspects of the program.
  • Participates as a member of and/or supports the specified Program and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Collects, completes, organizes, and interprets technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs.
  • Tracks program/project status and schedules.
  • Applies policies and procedures for financial planning.
  • Must perform program management, technical, or business analysis tasking related to weapon systems acquisition, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with SECNAV, OPNAV, and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPR), Work Requests, Requisitions, CDRLs, and DD Form 254 (as specified in the DoD 5000 series) is required.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education: Business, Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
    • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A Business, Management, Technical or Scientific AS or AA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience OR an additional six (6) years of recent and relevant experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. These four (4) years or six (6) years of experience, respectively, are in addition to the required minimum of four (4) years to meet the experience requirements, requiring a total of eight (8) years or ten (10) years of experience, respectively.
  • At least four (4) years of recent and relevant experience in a program management, technical or business analysis discipline; and included in the four (4) years there must be two (2) years of recent and relevant experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development. Must have experience processing program acquisition, funding, and contract documentation for military programs. Demonstrated experience in program/project management support, earned value management, and scheduling is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD secret clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
