Description
This faculty member will join our English and Modern Language Faculty on a full time, 10 month contract. Teaching 24 hours per year (with course releases), this person will serve as the Lead Faculty in Composition and Rhetoric, helping design and launch a new two course program that integrates learning and synthesizes student growth in Composition and Communication. This faculty member will partner with a Lead Faculty in Communications in order to train faculty on a comprehensive and integrated approach to the teaching of rhetoric. Lipscomb Composition and Communication courses will be taught as co-requisites, and students will develop transferable skills to increase their rhetorical agility in multi-modal communicative endeavors. Preference will be given to scholars with teaching experience in Composition, Digital Rhetorics, and Social Media Writing, and to those with training in how to equip faculty through professional development. This role requires rhetorical expertise in addition to the entrepreneurial spirit needed to train and support faculty as we launch a new academic program. Start date August 1, 2025. Behaviors
