The Communications team sets the strategic communications vision and marketing strategies that promote the campus community's innovative accomplishments, builds a strong brand identity and nurtures the University's reputation among its vast constituencies. Reporting to the Special Advisor/Associate Vice President, the incumbent initiates, plans, manages, monitors and evaluates advancement marketing and communications projects using accepted project management methodologies and strong communication with team members, clients and stakeholders. This is a hybrid position under our current work arrangement plan, with the expectation of on-site presence in our offices in the USC Tower adjacent to campus in downtown Los Angeles. Minimum Qualifications

Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is $95,830.51 - $116,866.49. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree Journalism Or Bachelor's degree Graphic Design Or Bachelor's degree in related field(s) Minimum Experience: 4 years in design and/or publishing, editing content and managing production workflows and schedules. Minimum Skills: Demonstrated leadership/management and strategic planning experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with Associated Press style or other style guides. Experience managing vendors and budgets, soliciting price quotes and negotiating contracts. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, able to develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with diverse groups of internal/external stakeholders. Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills, able to manage complex projects and changing deadlines and priorities. Proven computer skills in PC and Mac environments, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Excel. Preferred Education: Master's degree Preferred Skills: Newspaper, magazine and/or online publication experience. Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages beyond English. Project consulting and management experience. Advanced knowledge of applicable publishing software applications. Knowledge of digital publishing and/or social media content management.
