Position Summary

This position supports customers in multiple environments in both public (commercial) and private sector (government) programs. Responsibilities vary depending upon the customer and as such requires a person with initiative and a focus on customer service. This position will manage desktop, laptop and other related hardware and software support activities in a corporate environment for internal and external customers. Most work is completed during regular business hours. Availability to be on call and work outside of normal duty hours as customers may require emergency assistance. Some travel may be required to support government customers.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Function as focal point for user and workstation problem resolution. Provide end-to-end ownership of incidents with actual or potential impact to operations.
  • Utilize ticketing software to enter, document, track, coordinate, route, resolve, and close user ticket issues.
  • Coordinate with outside entities and vendors/OEMs to work all user issues.
  • Image, reimage, work-assist tech refresh for workstations, printer support, hand-held mobile devices, etc.
  • Support workstation types that include desktops, laptops, tablets, zero clients, mobile devices (including smartphones and iPads), tablets, etc.
  • Assist in evaluation, testing, documenting, deploying new user-based technology.
  • Function as an equipment custodian, as required.
  • Assist with local user training, performs initial fault assessment and resolution.
  • Work, coordinate, document, resolve, and close trouble tickets.
  • Manage the ticket queues supporting the local users.
  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities on assigned systems.
  • Install and terminate network cabling.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Technical experience with multiple platforms, computers, and components.
  • Technical experience re-mediating MS-based Windows workstations.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on technology support experience including desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printer, and peripherals, in a corporate environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder and install equipment.
  • Must be able to work in small and/or confined spaces.
  • Requires bending down and working under desks.

Desired Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Security+ or equivalent 8570 certification IAT Level 2.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
