Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The Insurance Operations Assistant provides clerical support as assigned as well as mail operations and receptionist duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers and clients both in person and on the organizations phone system.
  • Learn and Understand an Agency Management System
  • Process Electronic Documents (eDocs)
    • Learn and understand: Policies, Endorsements, Cancellations-Nonrenewal, Conditionals Renewals, Non-Payment/Finals, Audits, etc..
  • Personal Lines (PL)
  • Commercial Lines (CL) - Learn, understand processes and procedures around premiums and estimated commission.
  • Document Delivery - Remote employees will create letters, those in the office will print and send to client
  • Unrouted(Incoming mail)
  • Manage multiple email inboxes to properly route messages and faxes.
  • PL Unassigned
  • CL Unassigned

  • Incoming
  • Sorting
  • Delivering
  • Scanning
  • Outgoing(Running, Scanning, Packages)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Professional Certifications/Licenses:

  • None

Experience/Skills:

  • Customer Service experience
  • The ability to learn and understand software, agency management system, in addition to Word and Excel applications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and courteous communication skills
  • The ability to problem solving with office equipment (copier, fax, postage machine, etc.)

Other Job Information

Hours:40/week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
