Location:Plaquemine, LA

Salary: $88,000 - $98,500
Schedule: 4/10

Focus: The Mechanical Maintenance Planner improves maintenance workforce effectiveness through proper planning and coordination of parts, equipment, and people to ensure safe, effective, and efficient execution of work.

Mechanical Maintenance Planner Essential Job Functions:



  • Develop preventative job tasks, standardized job plans, and schedules to improve the safety and productivity of the maintenance workforce while optimizing the utilization of company resources. This involves coordinating work with other areas, disciplines, and contractors.
  • Report out on applicable metrics and ensure proper documentation of completed jobs including equipment histories and as-built drawings.
  • Lead in-development and utilization of SAP functions for maintenance, both functional location and equipment management.
  • Maintain administration of backlogs and permitting, including outage, housekeeping, and safety work order backlogs.
  • Assist with budget and forecast processes to improve maintenance cost, accurately project spend, and ensure timely expenditure reporting.
  • Support maintenance excellence initiatives such as technology advancement and optimization in the Planning and Scheduling areas while participating in EH&S inspections and identifying follow up actions for inclusion in the scheduling process.



Mechanical Maintenance Planner Minimum Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience; mechanical maintenance experience (i.e. pipefitter, welder, millwright) and/or mechanical maintenance planner experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a chemical plant setting preferred.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
  • Functional understanding of industrial design and repair standards, maintenance practices, and proper equipment operation and repair.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills to align operational objectives with outcomes.
  • Proficiency with maintenance scheduling tools, specifically SAP PM strongly preferred.
