REPORTS TO: Projects & Engineering Director

LOCATION: Chicago, IL / Buffalo, NY / or Tulare, CA

From your PASSION to ours

The Technical Project Analyst will be one of the point person for all LUSA divisions Capital Expenditure Project Administration. He / She will ensure accuracy and proper flow of the documents through the approval process, and throughout the life of the project. The Project Analyst will own communication of the status of the projects to both the plant and the corporate teams.

Travel will happen at least once a year for the yearly meeting at a to be determined location.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Will own the project documentation for capital expenditure projects. Maintaining, updating, and developing the Capex management documents to track and follow up with the project status
  • Communicate the capex KPIs to plants, engineering teams and management.
  • The Project Specialist receives, verifies accuracy, stores, and conveys the Capex documents (AFE, DA, PO, Invoices & completion forms) to the next steps or send back to the originator (for correction) for the approval process.
  • Organizes monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings for the corporate & plants (NY, WI, ID & CA) engineering teams.
  • Work with plant accounting teams on general ledger into SAP
  • Serve an active role in the annual budget process.
  • Assist in the required audits, including assisting in the coordination among departments and plants. Interact with both internal and external auditors. Take active role in preparation of required audit schedules
  • May support the maintenance of the Company's fixed assets sub-ledger in FAS and assist other locations as needed, including disposals & account reconciliations.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

  • Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent experience to include a minimum of five (5) years job related experience. Accounting or Finance Degree or equivalent.

Experience

  • 3+ years related experience required
  • Experience working on capital expenditure projects
  • Experience managing projects
  • Experience in Food Industry preferred

Specialized Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel skills; macros, pivot tables

Skills / Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to analysis files and verify accuracy
  • Effectively communicate to internal and external customers
  • Prioritization, organization, time management, and follow-up skills
