*Description*
Under the general supervision of the IT Manager, the Technical Analyst position provides technical support and works with users to assess business needs, recommend solutions, troubleshoot and work to resolve or coordinate resolution of business needs. Prepares specifications for purchase of hardware and software for site-based hardware, peripheral, and software installations and upgrades. Performs technical maintenance activities as required. Strong customer service, problem solving and technical and analytical skills. Capable of leading small projects and lead responsibilities during manager absences. The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: 1. Site-based customer consultant providing application or infrastructure technical expertise, analysis and specifications for IT systems to meet business requirements in accordance with IT architecture policies and standards. 2. Researches and resolves customer problems through the use of standard systems analysis and a variety of resources and tools. 3. Coordinates with customers to develop project plans, create detailed solution design, timelines and schedules. 4. Develops and maintains business continuity and fall back through processes and procedures. 5. Install, maintain computer hardware, peripherals and software. 6. Provides technical and customer support for hardware, peripherals and software, with minimal supervision. 7. Assists in coordinating departmental I.T requirements, including but not limited to, requests for desktop and networking support, including installation, configuration and testing. 8. Identify, troubleshoots and resolves system technical issues. 9. Work closely with IT technical service providers to ensure outsourced work packages are delivered to specifications, meeting key parameters of quality, schedule, cost, security, performance, and scalability through relationship management. 10. Seek appropriate opportunities to promote re-usability of component designs to reduce costs and shorten time to deliver solutions. 11. Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance efficiency it the build and deploy processes, leveraging automation where possible. 12. Maintains functional knowledge of all Information System standards, security, HIPAA, firewalls, and data encryption and updates technical skills through a variety of methods including individual research and group settings. 13. Other projects or responsibilities as required or assigned by emergency or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform. 14. Provide on-call service during off hours, evenings, weekends and holidays 15. Mentor, train and support entry-level Technical Analysts, 16. Provide as a "backup" for other team members, seeks cross-training in their areas of expertise, and performs their duties in their absence. Education and Experience: * Associates Degree in the field of technology with a minimum of 3 years of Information Technology experience including 2 years of technical support or an equivalent combination of education and experience with relevant industry certifications * Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Windows applications.
