HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to perform clinical research and patient treatment in conjunction with one or more specified clinical research protocols. Developing adherence to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Helps assure that protocol requirements are achieved within Good Clinical Practices. This is the first of four levels, and the entry level position for the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) series.

This position will be in support of Gynecologic Cancer-Center of Excellence (GYN-COE).

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.

This position is currently funded through September 30, 2025. Extension is not guaranteed and is dependent on funding availability and the ongoing needs of the program.


Responsibilities

  • Acquire, update, amend, review, redact, format, organize, track, and manage consent forms, research records, medical reports and other types of source documentation using software and online systems in compliance with protocol requirements and workflows, standard operating procedures, data routines and expectations.
  • Implement quality control, quality assurance, harmonization and restaging routines for research records with or without access to source documentation including medical reports and accessible data systems in compliance with protocol requirements and workflows, standard operating procedures, data routines and expectations.
  • Engage and contribute to research projects, special initiatives and research operations as needed.
  • Track activities, summarize contributions, contribute to team initiatives, and provide written and verbal updates for activities, assignments, issues, challenges and deliverables.
  • Support and assist with Program Administration routines, assignments and requests as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 0-2 years experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of federal and local regulations and policies pertinent to research involving human subjects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work with individuals of all levels.
  • Skills using REDCap, Nextcloud, and medical record system(s).

  • Experience coding, analyzing and visualizing data with SPSS, SAS, R and/or Python would be ideal.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in a clinic setting.

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this position is $43,650-$57,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
