As a team, we have changed the way USU functions using the ServiceNow platform. We are now looking to expand our services to include a suite of workflow, document, AI and other tools within the Box.com (Box) platform. Adding the Box suite of tools to our services will allow us to enhance and improve existing, as well as new processes throughout the University.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Process Designer / Developer (Programmer/Analyst). This role will focus primarily on understanding and leveraging the Box platform but also involves gaining knowledge and experience with the ServiceNow platform. If you are self-driven, eager to learn and apply yourself, and work well as a member of a team, we encourage you to apply.

To ensure your success, we will provide learning and training resources for both Box and ServiceNow platforms.

Responsibilities
Become a Box Platform Expert:
  • Through training resources, learn the Box Platform, including Box Hubs, Relay, AI, Collaboration, Sign, Box APIs, etc. See www.box.com to learn more.
  • Implement Box solutions to streamline content management, collaboration, and automation.
  • Create custom integrations and workflows that leverage Box capabilities.
  • With time, we envision this position becoming the leading expert on the Box platform.

Become familiar with ServiceNow Development:
  • Gain foundational knowledge of ServiceNow functionality and modules.
  • Assist in designing and developing ServiceNow workflows, with emphasis on workflows that integrate with Box.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • The position will be hired at either level I through III based on these qualifications:
    • Level I: Bachelor's degree* in an IT-related field or an equivalent** combination of education plus experience is required.
    • Level II: Bachelor's degree* plus 2 years of experience in an IT-related field or an equivalent** combination of experience plus education is required; holds appropriate certifications and/or demonstrates equivalent knowledge in area of expertise.
    • Level III: Bachelor's degree* plus 4 years of experience in an IT-related field or an equivalent** combination of education plus experience is required; holds appropriate certifications and/or demonstrates equivalent knowledge in area of expertise.
      • *Bachelor's degree must be in an IT-related field from an accredited 4 year institution.
      • **One year of education is equivalent to one year of experience for the combination of both education and experience.
  • Certifications in Box and/or ServiceNow (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Box suite of tools or content management platforms.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities or experience in related ITSM tools.
  • Experience configuring and developing any platform-based solution in response to end-user and business process owner objectives.
  • Basic scripting experience in JavaScript.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with process design and the ability to document scalable and efficient workflows to enhance productivity and user experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in process improvement and workflow automation.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them effectively to solve business challenges.
  • Work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
