Summary of Job Duties:The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) serves in a clinical leadership capacity over the Children's Protection Center. This is a clinical position in a specialized sexual abuse treatment program. The successful applicant will work within a seasoned treatment team providing initial diagnostic assessments; psychological testing; and outpatient individual, family, and group treatment for sexual abuse victims and their families as well as youth with sexual behaviors problems and their families. He or she will provide information, crisis intervention, and referral for families seeking services. Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field required.

  • Must be a licensed counselor with the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements therapeutic evidence-based interventions with clients, including individual, group, marital family, and other forms of psychotherapy.

  • Conducts intake, historical, and diagnostic interviews, and makes appropriate diagnostic assessments.

  • Administers, scores, and interprets psychological assessment measures as appropriate and necessary. Participates in treatment planning.

  • Writes routine reports and evaluations detailing assessment, treatment information, recommendations, etc.

  • Writes psychological assessment reports and enters assessment data into appropriate databases.

  • Maintains adequate chart notes, documenting treatment activities, progress, and client status in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Enters data into AR BEST tracking system as pertains to trauma measure scores and treatment follow-up on Child Advocacy Center (CAC) referred clients and other CAC-related activities of all FTP clinical staff.

  • Screens referrals and schedules FTP intake evaluations.

  • Attends team staffing and case conferences.

  • Attends interagency meetings to coordinate service delivery and collaborate with other professionals directly involved with agency clients.

  • Completes additional clinical and programmatic documentation as directed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
