Essential Functions




  • Partners with hiring managers to scope jobs, and successfully translate their objectives into a marketing approach to source, screen, and present qualified candidates whose skills, abilities, and cultural fit match what with what's needed to power Lumos.
  • Posts requisitions across multiple sites, sources for passive candidates, screens resumes, performs initial phone screens, and recommends candidates to interview.
  • Facilitates the interview process, using automation tools where possible.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers and HR colleagues throughout the pay range and offer range processes - ensuring all responsible parties approve of and understand equitable ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • May attend job fairs and other recruiting partnership opportunities. Coordinates all project activities to track lifecycle, budget, and progress requirements to goal using ATS.
  • Ensures an exceptional candidate experience with appropriate notifications and handoffs to other team members including Onboarding, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition peers.
  • Utilize existing systems, processes in alignment with established procedures - ensuring that the entire team has insight into the process and the ability to publish meaningful metrics.
  • Respectfully recommends process changes to approach and to Talent Acquisition processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including departmental and cross-functional projects.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required




  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Deep experience with a variety of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) tools and accompanying software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint helpful.
  • Able to successfully build and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to work and culture - self-starter with the ability to keep pace with demand and graciously pivot based on competing priorities.
  • Drive to delight candidates and hiring managers with the value that a recruiter can provide to an organization - able to respectfully challenge and incorporate feedback where appropriate.



Other Experience & Requirements




  • 5+ years' relevant experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proactive, independent, and ability to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
  • Fiber, Telecom, or Construction industry experience preferred.



Physical Requirements




  • Constantly operates computer, keyboard, and related peripherals.
  • Frequent sedentary periods.
  • Near-constant use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and reasoning.
