What You'll Do in This Position

Represents construction management on the project team and has ownership of the project and/or work authorizing document (WAD) technical, cost and schedule baselines. Monitor, evaluate and document direct hire or subcontractor performance and compliance with the subcontract requirements to include but not limited to quality, schedule, safety, security, environmental, state and federal rules, laws and regulations. Ensure subcontractor awareness and compliance with site regulatory and control programs and provide/ensure guidance and training to subcontract personnel and organizations where necessary.

Identify potential schedule durations which do not support baseline schedules. Interface with facility management for work scope, estimate approvals and funding distribution and with project controls and construction execution for scope development, estimate preparation and approval and construction planning. Coordinate construction projects, maintenance orders or assigned areas from the conceptual design stage through project completion and financial closing to ensure safety, quality, technical baseline, budget, schedule, and site procedures and goals are established, implemented and managed. Through use of knowledge and experience while monitoring progress of projects and maintenance orders, identify problems / potential problems to the technical / cost / schedule baselines and implement the necessary corrective actions. Ensure systems are in place for each project to track and identify productivity, cost, and schedule performance, and take corrective actions as necessary. Interface with project management, DOE, design, procurement, field management and superintendents at different team levels to accomplish milestones in a safe and cost effective manner. While applying personal skills and knowledge, perform regular field inspections and audits of assigned subcontractor to ensure compliance with the subcontract requirements. Prepare daily activity reports that document those inspections and observations. Actions may include review of various statistical and report data, daily physical inspections, interface with the subcontractor personnel, and periodic survey or other feedback. Provide maintenance and coordination of specific or general regulatory or control programs where applicable and when necessary to be responsive to changing site requirements and recommend changes to the subcontract as needed.

The Construction Coordinator will support Central Shops Construction team and responsible to:
* Ensure awareness and compliance with site regulatory and control programs within organization.
* Interface with facility management and customers
* Support defining and screening work requests to properly prioritize work execution to maintain functionality of the Central Chops facilities.
* Monitor, track, and report on status of construction work activities.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential

Other Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a Q Security Clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

Technical degree is preferred.
Nuclear experience is desired.
Experience with work control, reviewing of scoping documents, review of construction schedules/estimates, experience with Davis-Bacon screening.
Experience with Asset Suite, AHA, and other SRNS site programs.
Experience with Peoplesoft and the Supply Chain Requisition Process.
