What You'll Do in This Position

Provide general direction, guidance, data analysis or administrative support to ensure the implementation and maintenance to operations and programmatic functions. These functions will typically be in direct or indirect support of a specific facility (or facilities), location or functional area. Support areas may include, but are not limited to radiological, operations, semi-technical, administrative or maintenance areas and issues.
Perform routine facility or area walkdowns, procedures reviews, inspections or evaluations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Review new and revised procedures for quality and content. Perform or assist in performing periodic reviews and assessments to ensure facility systems are operating properly and are being maintained within required limits. Perform various administrative or program functions in conjunction with or in support of operational program compliance, cost and budget, planning and scheduling, training, projects or special projects or related areas. Interface with other groups within the facility, department and site in support of this effort. Prepare and/or review facility work packages and related work control processes in support of operations, maintenance and project work evolutions associated with the daily operations of the area or facility. Prepare and/or review lockout/tagout plans that ensure specific instructions for the isolation, containment or deenergization of various mechanical, electrical, chemical energy systems or radiological sources according to established procedures, Site guidelines and DOE orders. Provide routine feedback to the designated Operations Manager, Shift Operations Manager, or other management in functional and programmatic areas that support facility or area operations. Coordinate the functions of construction, operations, work control, maintenance, projects and other facility support personnel in facility operations and maintenance activities. Provide semi-technical assistance as required, in support of operational activities including facility system assessments, equipment maintenance and functional testing. Develop, implement and document corrective actions for identified systems and equipment deficiencies and failures. Review and ensure the communication and understanding of new and revised technical and operations procedures, bulletins and required reading to operators and other relevant operations support personnel. Conduct training for operations personnel on new systems and equipment and evaluate and critique performance. Track training and qualification status of assigned personnel to ensure personnel are qualified to perform assignments and have completed all training requirements in a timely manner.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential

Other Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

Working knowledge of Site work control procedures and work practices and procedures for maintenance, operations and project related area. Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration and lockout/hold point identification.
Working knowledge of general or specific safety, environmental, regulatory, safeguards, security, emergency preparedness programs, policies, practices and guidelines.
Specific knowledge requirement will vary according to assignment focus and specific facility (or facilities), location or functional area supported.

Knowledge of/experience in supply chain management and logistics.
