Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver complex requirements to accomplish business goals Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements Build quality, well thought out APIs that are scalable and reusable by multiple calling systems Work around various platforms and understand the unique needs for each back end and front end system Assist partner teams in adopting and consuming new APIs Create integration patterns for existing service providers (REST) and exposing those services via various API gateways Build Java modules that are run as a batch/server side components Requirements: 8+ years of demonstrated experience designing, developing and testing real-world, enterprise applications 5+ years of hands-on Java experience, including analysis, design and testing 5+ years of experience using Spring framework (all modules), Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test Framework, Spring RESTful services, Transaction Management, Spring Annotations 5+ years of experience developing and consuming web services using SOAP or REST 5+ years of experience using JPA/Hibernate and also developing complex queries using native/HQL 5+ years of relational database experience with a solid understanding of SQL and modeling concepts 3+ years of working knowledge of Infrastructure for a typical web application (web servers, app servers, Configurations, etc.) Experience using Scrum and following Agile best practices Experience working in an Agile team Demonstrate strong communication skills Extensive API development experience and demonstrated success building APIs for large, complex and interdependent systems Desired skills: Web UI development Working experience with UI technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS Experience with MuleSoft Experience building cloud native applications deployed via OpenShift and building containerized services Pay Range: $58.26-$66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
