Overview
The Senior Demand Planner oversees forecasting for raw materials and finished goods, analyzes data, generates forecasts, and maintains accurate systems. They will also create and maintain demand plans for all product lines, using statistical models and business intelligence from various sources. This position will ensure forecasts are accurate for meeting sales demand and financial goals, while complying with HIPAA, FDA, and ISO 13485 regulations.
Responsibilities
- Translates sales forecast into demand forecasts (sales, operational, and financial volume forecasts)
- Create, review, and validate the demand plan for rolling 12-month horizon through statistical models and incorporating business intelligence from multiple sources to achieve an unbiased demand plan
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand demand forecast drivers
- Work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure that current, accurate data is available for forecasts
- Participate in monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to ensure alignment across departments
- Direct the review of historical sales trends and forecasts; review statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results
- Analyze and update SKU-level demand signal based on trends, alerts, models, assumption changes, inputs, etc.
- Coordinate data preparation for cross-functional forecasting meetings
- Monitor and analyze demand plan accuracy to identify areas for improvement
- Manage planning parameters and item master data in NetSuite
- Play a key role in the annual planning process; ensure linkage to monthly volume forecast as part of financial forecasting process
- Provide input to supply planning, procurement, commercialization, customer service, etc., in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- Coordinate phase-on of new products and phase-out of discontinued products
- Contribute to the development of inventory plans establishing inventory targets, monitor inventory performance to plan and targets, and assist with management of excess and obsolescence reserves
- Ability to analyze surge and excess opportunities within month and quarter
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Advanced Excel skills necessary.
- 6+ years of experience in a planner or supply chain role using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.
- Experience in a medical device company preferred.
- APICS certification a plus.
- Minimum high school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience. College degree preferred.
- 5% travel expected

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$91,800 - $128,520
