Job Title: Designer B - Outfitting Location: Pascagoula, MS Overall Overview: Utilizing drafting techniques, the Designer B - Outfitting prepares routine to complex layouts, charts, graphs, maps, engineered designs, drawings, and diagrams based on technical specifications and instructions. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: The following statements outline the general nature and level of work performed and should not be considered an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. * Develops detailed designs for outfitting projects. * Coordinates with other sections as needed. * Reviews and checks drawings, which may require access to all production areas. * Ensures adherence to CAD standards. * Designs using Bollinger standards and common materials whenever possible. * Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory bodies and job specifications. * Follows Bollinger standard practices and procedures, including PRNs, ECPs, EARs, budget requests, and drawing check-out processes. * Reviews and integrates vendor information as required. * Works collaboratively with other personnel. * Incorporates and documents feedback from owners, regulatory bodies, and other governing entities. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Strong understanding of design principles and drafting techniques. * Some knowledge of manufacturing processes. * Knowledge of Microsoft Suite desired. * Good understanding of regulatory requirements and industry practices. * Proficiency in working with drafting materials and equipment. * ShipConstructor and Navis experience desired. Experience & Training: * A minimum of two years of college coursework equivalent to an AA degree in Industrial Technology or a related field, combined with relevant design experience. Equivalent combinations of education, knowledge, and training may be considered. * Minimum of 3 years' experience in design required.
