We are seeking an experienced Director, Project Management Office (PMO) to lead and establish a best-in-class PMO function. This role will be responsible for developing standardized project management processes, ensuring best practices are followed, and providing oversight on project execution and risk management. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving project transparency, organizational alignment, and process efficiency while leading a team of project managers who support the implementation of Press Ganey's healthcare products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • PMO Development & Leadership: Build and establish the PMO, defining and implementing standard functions, processes, and governance frameworks aligned with project management best practices.
  • Project Execution & Oversight: Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Process Standardization: Develop and enforce standard methodologies, tools, and templates to drive consistency and efficiency across project teams.
  • Strategic Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, ensuring project priorities align with business strategy and client needs.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Establish and oversee a risk management framework to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Reporting & Monitoring: Implement dashboards and reporting mechanisms to keep leadership informed on project status, risks, and overall performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive alignment, communication, and successful project outcomes.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, project management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing a PMO or large project portfolio.
  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, etc.).
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification required.
  • Proven experience in establishing and scaling a PMO function.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or consulting industries preferred.

To work #bettertogether, we operate with a hybrid working model. For those near a hub location, we gather in our office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For the remaining days, we work from home.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $127,000to $175,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
