Fraternity & Sorority Life Georgia State University The Coordinator, Student Engagement promotes a healthy, vibrant fraternity and sorority community committed to academic achievement, leadership development, community building, and community service. This role provides support to the office of Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) through development and oversight of chapter support services for 28 member organizations and approximately 1,000 affiliated undergraduate students within the fraternity and sorority community. The role works collaboratively with key University stakeholders as well as international organization staff, chapter advisors, and alumni boards to champion and support recognized fraternities and sororities, and to ensure accountability with community standards. Responsibilities include; * Designing, implementing and assessing fraternity and sorority trainings, education and recognition events, retreats, service programs, and monitoring chapter compliance with the FSL accreditation program. * Facilitates monthly chapter president's roundtables and periodically hosts chapter advisor meetings. * Maintaining the FSL rosters within Banner, producing chapter grade reports on a semesterly basis, and composing the FSL section of the Student Center & Student Life annual report are also responsibilities. * In addition to supporting the FSL community, this position will develop Risk Management trainings for all Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and assist in creating risk management plans for large RSO events. * This position reports to the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life and collaborates with the broader Student Life team and colleagues within other Student Engagement units within the Division of Student Success. * The scope of the position may require attendance at evening and/or weekend activities, meetings, or recruitment events both within the FSL area and provides support as requested for assignments within the Student Success division as needed. :
Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Preferred Hiring Qualifications: Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling or related degree. * Experience working with social Greek letter organizations in a collegiate setting. * Demonstrated experience in working with diverse populations of university students. * Experience utilizing organization management software such as Engage, Collegiate Link, or OrgSync. * Experience utilizing campus recruitment software (i.e. CampusDirector, ChapterBuilder, ICS). Experience assessing risk and providing risk management trainings (i.e. sexual misconduct, hazing, large event management, alcohol, bystander intervention). * Willingness to work in a team oriented and collaborative environment. * Outstanding leadership, management and interpersonal skills to relate and work with a variety of faculty, students, parents, staff and community members.
