The Opportunity

  • Maintenance Superintendent at a Growth-Oriented Energy Company
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will assist in maximizing and achieving effective maintenance performance through management and daily oversight of the execution of maintenance work.
  • Responsible for oversight of the front-line supervisors and ensuring execution of the daily work tasks as identified by the schedule.
  • Individual will work to improve execution efficiency, supervisor capability and optimize preventative maintenance.
  • Work with a diverse and close-knit group of technicians/mechanics

Key activities include:

  • Leadership and Staff Development:
    • Proven leader with a strong record in staff development and retention. Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team.
    • Can work effectively with others, reach consensus, can lead meetings and get attendees to reach an agreeable conclusion.
    • Supports management objectives.
    • Can present and defend positions to higher management when required.
  • Process Management:
    • Can determine the processes necessary to accomplish tasks

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To comply with the regulations at this work location, successful applicants must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent refinery maintenance experience required.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, refining or experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman or similar supervisory role with multiple first line supervisor direct reports with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent.
  • 5+ years experience scheduling and prioritizing activities.
  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to communicate well. Must be able to work effectively and professionally with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience working with other scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in using CMMS (SAP) preferred.
  • Maintain liaison with safety department, engineering, estimating and planning to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications and schedule.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is$127,937 - $191,905 per year plus non-discretionary based upon both company financial performance and individual performance to goals.The candidate selected for this position will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
