Established in 1978 at the UC San Diego Medical Center, the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) combines the benefits of an internationally renowned university with a large academic hospital. The UC San Diego Medical Center and the DEM is leading an effort, funded by the Federal Office of the National Coordinator, to foster data exchange, interoperability, and clinical integration to improve healthcare efficiency and patient outcomes among San Diego County community healthcare providers. Under supervision, serve as research associate in a human genetics laboratory performing PCR, RT PCR, gels, DNA/RNA isolation, cell culture, mouse work, and sequence analysis. Duties also includes ordering of supplies, assisting with lab management, assisting with writing and editing, and some database management. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $55,374 - $66,064 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $26.52 - $31.64 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
