Description

This position is primarily responsible for supervising and developing a clinical sales team that manages industry accounts in assigned region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and manage clinical sales in industry accounts, conducting sales coaching, funnel management, product demonstration practices, and customer training and support activities.
  • Hire top talent into open positions, minimizing gaps in territory or account coverage.
  • Foster accountability throughout team for meeting and/or exceeding financial targets, including annual product sales targets.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, and expense budgets.
  • Encourage and reward identification and hand-off of business opportunities to the research, CDMO, and instrument sales teams as appropriate.
  • Plan staffing based on relevant data sources related to sales forecasts, corporate initiatives, and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and propose sales territory assignments to balance opportunity and geography.
  • Oversee recruiting and development of employees through the department to reflect our values of innovation, excellence and independence, especially as they relate to customer satisfaction, professionalism, and initiative.
  • Participate in North American leadership meetings.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of incentive and bonus plans for the team.
  • Participate in Global Sales Meeting as well as other relevant global meetings.
  • Communicate forecasts, future pipelines, and other data relevant to staff and resource planning, to other departments including service, tech support, applications support.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, advanced degree in Life Sciences preferred; 5 years' experience within the life sciences industry with demonstrated success in sales management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands on experience within a lab environment preferred. Immunology background highly desirable. Preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, evidence of insurance/ / insurability, and ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts.

Work Environment:

This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature.

The anticipated base salary for San Francisco Bay Area, CA has been established at $127,496.60-$172,495/year. The total compensation of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above total compensation represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
