Data Analyst - SCSTC N7 Support

Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Data Analyst who will be a key support to the Training Management Department (N7) at the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC), located in Dahlgren, VA.

Job Description:

Perform the data collection, analysis and preparation of Instructor Computation (ICOMP) Models, POM submissions, issue papers, and briefing material, using Navy Training Management corporate database systems, such as CeTARS and FLTMPS.
Establish CINs and CDPs, perform course data updates, class schedule entry, and quota management in CeTARS for all SCSTC courses to ensure data integrity within the database.
Develop, update and deliver Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly metric reports
Assist with on-site Training Readiness Inspection Program (TRIP) events at SCSTC training locations, by validating CeTARS data to approved course documentation and providing CeTARS training to SCSTC personnel.
Research and analyze data to detect trends, perform surge analyses, as well as summarize findings, draw conclusions and develop presentations to support various training metrics for SCSTC N7 data calls.
Assists in the SCSTC annual Student Input Planning (SIP) process, to include:
- Data collection, analysis, calculation and projection of student training requirements for Demand Signal Planning (DSP)
- Identify and prioritize instructor billets, training devices and facility requirements, and capacity determinations during annual Feasibility Study (FS)
Review Navy Training System Program (NTSP) and Training Project Plan (TPP) documentation for accuracy, as well as document and submit recommendations for corrections.

Qualifications:

Must have a High School diploma and at least 3 years' experience reviewing and evaluating Navy Training Management corporate database systems such as CeTARS and FLTMPS.
Must have expertise level knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and building complex workbooks using advanced formulas and functions.

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in the annual review of Navy training requirements in support of the Program Objective Memorandum process, preferred.
Strong understanding of Navy training processes and documentation, such as Student Input Planning, Feasibility Studies, NTSPs, Training Project Plans (TPPs), Navy Enlisted Classifications (NEC) Manual, etc, preferred.

Security Requirements:

Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional Travel- less than 10%
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (no later than position start date) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
