Mission Systems Engineer/Analyst

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Mission Systems Engineer/Analyst to support PM FLRAA. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide Mission System and Avionics systems engineering and Army Acquisition expertise to the FLRAA Mission Systems Branch and Technical Division Chief.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Mission Systems and Avionics matters to the FLRAA Mission Systems Branch Chief, and Modernization and FLRAA Tech Chiefs. This includes integration and collaboration with stakeholders throughout the DoD and industry.
• Provide input into the development and documentation of FLRAA technical and contract requirements, and assist with developing milestone documents, acquisition strategies, program briefings, white papers, and other products.
• Support the engineering review of all contractor avionics technical efforts, including detailed design, and represent the FLRAA Project Office during technical reviews covering mission systems.
• Establish relationships within FLRAA integrated product teams (IPT), divisions, and external stakeholder organizations.
• Participate in multi-discipline Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and possibly Lead MS sub-system Working Groups (WG). Provides effective written and verbal communication on technical and programmatic status, issues, and solutions with peers and FLRAA leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years working DoD Military Avionics and/or Missions Systems Integration or test experience
• Direct experience with Avionics and Mission Systems on aviation platforms
• Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, high-tempo environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Up to 20% TDY

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military Avionics and Mission System integration and/or test experience
• DoD/Army Acquisition Program Office Support experience
• DoD Systems Engineering Process experience
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Army Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) architecture experience
