Position: OTA Validation Technician Location: Onsite. Allen Park, MI. Pay: $27/hr. Diagnostic Service Products (DSP) is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and support of OEM Customer Service Division's diagnostic tools supporting multiple OEM's vehicles worldwide. Required Qualifications: Ability to follow garage safety protocol. Willingness to be onsite at DSC Garage full time. Automotive diagnostic repair knowledge enabling technician to provide feedback to engineers. Knowledge of what the tool is telling you from an engineering view is critical. The technicians work closely with engineers to ensure the tools and the diagnostics are accurate. OTA Validation Technician Purpose / Responsibilities: Validation is performed in a garage setting, utilizing an available fleet of test vehicles, with test results documented in a database. On-vehicle validation to ensure the DRS tool is capable of retrieving the software files from the backend systems to allow dealerships to utilize USB flash in the event of an OTA failure. Remote Diagnostics Validation Technician Responsibilities: Validation is performed as a 2-person team. One technician at the vehicle in a garage and/or parking lot setting acting as the remote customer. The other technician is remote to the vehicle and executes the remote diagnostic test procedure and documents the results. Adding a third to support the workload. Verify that the remote diagnostic capabilities function as designed. Helpful: Familiarity with existing OEM diagnostic tools.
